Entitled Moving Communities, the next Idea Camp will be co-hosted by Platoniq in Madrid from 1 to 3 March 2017. It will bring together 50 selected participants whose ideas draw on cultural practice to help foster a society with greater solidarity and equality – and a stronger sense of social justice. After the Idea Camp, participants will be invited to submit a concrete plan for further research or investigation of their ideas. A total of 25 proposals will be selected and consequently awarded an R&D Grant, up to a maximum of €10,000 each.

Initiated in 2014, the Idea Camp is a three-day collaborative platform organised together with the six hubs in the Connected Action for the Commons action and research program: Culture 2 Commons (Croatia); Les Têtes de l’Art (France); Krytyka Polityczna (Poland); Oberliht (Moldova); Platoniq – Goteo (Spain); and Subtopia (Sweden).

We aspire to make the 2017 Idea Camp as inclusive a cultural event as possible, with attendees and their proposals representing a broad range of cultural and professional backgrounds and perspectives. We particularly welcome ideas submitted by individuals or representatives from underrepresented groups in our society. With this invitation, we hope that you can help us reach individuals, collectives and organizations beyond our networks.
