History

  • Europe and Society is an association that was founded in November 1985.
  • It is a meeting place for reflection and proposals for business leaders, professional organisations and trade unions, pension institutions, etc.. - for economic and social actors in general.
  • Europe and Society strives to build bridges between the business world, European society and European institutions.

Organisation/collective objectives

  • Through the exchange and sharing of experiences and through the common work on proposals, Europe and Society aims to participate in the affirmation of a true European identity in which all European citizens can recognize themselves.

Main activities

  • European Conferences (three to four per year) and smaller meetings around a specific theme.
  • Debates with high-level European personalities (six to eight per year).
  • Publications specific to the association such as Foundation Papers and the « Letter of the Foundation »
  • Contacts with the media to disseminate the results of the - meetings.
  • Conferences or sessions that may raise public awareness of European issues.

Vision of Europe

  • Despite its problems, Europe has key assets provided that the Europeans know them and decide to use them.
  • Europe can combine the competitiveness of its industry and economy and the maintenance and development of social cohesion, strengthening of freedom, responsibility and solidarity of the different actors.
