History

  • The Euroregional Center for Democracy (CED) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, that promotes democracy and stability in Central and South - Eastern Europe.
  • CED seeks to devise programs of great importance for the future of democracy and regional stability.
  • CED encourages the dialogue between individuals and institutions that promote democratic values.

Organisation/collective objectives

  • build and consolidate democracy
  • promote partnerships between regional, national and local non-governmental organizations and institutions
  • strengthen the institutional capacity of NGO community
  • raise regional community awareness

Main activities

  • three main areas: regional cross-border cooperation - education for democracy - advocacy

In each area:

  • organisation of seminars, conferences, trainings
  • publication of researches, analysis, reports
  • advocacy, lobbying
  • promotion of mechanisms of communication between citizens and structures representing them and the local administration(web page, newspaper column, radio shows, phone line)

Vision of Europe

  • Europe as vector of democracy and civil society development in the region of Central and South-Eastern Europe
