History

  • Democracy International is a non profit organisation created in Brussels in 2010
  • It is the global coalition for direct democracy
  • Is goal is the establishment of direct democracy (initiative and referendum) as a complement to representative democracy throughout the world.

  • to develop, foster, strengthen and advance direct democracy and citizens’ participation on the local, national, regional, transnational and global level.

Vision of Europe

  • European institutions as all established democratic institutions suffer from a massive loss of credibility.
