The Conférence Olivaint, an apolitical association, is the oldest French student association. Since its foundation in 1875, it never stopped to be a place conductive to exchanges and debates, offering to many students from prestigious French universities and schools the opportunity of an additional training to political life, public reflection and debates.
The « Weimar Youth Forum » ou « Forum de Weimar » is an annual event created to gather the european associations partners of the POLITEIA network: the Conférence Olivaint (France), the Studentenforum im Tonissteiner Kreis (Germany) and The Student Parliament of the Republic of Poland with the regular participation of the Conférence Olivaint in Belgium.
This event is looking forward to honour the tradition of the Weimar agreement, highlighting the diplomatic collaboration between France, Germany and Poland. Summit meetings are yearly organised, the first one was actually in Weimar, between high officials from the three countries.
The objectives are:
Conferences and workshops.
La Conférence Olivaint is politically neutral and has many contacts on every side of the political chessboard.
The Weimar Youth Forum gathers three students associations whose members will be the future elite in France, Germany and Poland.
This event allows those students to meet in a friendly atmosphere and to mix in the different workshops. They can debate together and find solutions.
The main partners of the Conférence Olivaint are Science Po, and l’Institut catholique de Paris.
For this event organised with the Studentenforum and the The Student Parliament of the Republic of Poland, l’OFAJ (Office franco allemand pour la jeunesse) is the main partner.
The event will be mostly funded by the members, but we are also searching for other financial support.
