Forum Synergies is a non-profit association of engaged citizens, organisations and active practitioners engaged in sustainable rural development. We work together for a living countryside.
Our network supports people and organisations who are engaging for a more sustainable, more democratic and creative rural life.

Objectives

Our mission is to enable the exchange of experiences, to promote synergies and to support a constructive dialogue between stakeholders, all over Europe from local to European level.

Main Activities

Our core activities arw:

• Exchanges on local and regional solutions with a European dimension – our European rural gathering, our Lifeshops, Thematic exchanges address different topics according to actual needs and explore different ways of sharing experiences and visions.
• European networking – we strengthen European initiatives for a better cooperation and complementarity
• Policy Interactions – we check and share the reality of rural policies implementation in rural territories in our policy workshops. Together with participants from different backgrounds we elaborate concrete proposals for improved policies.
• Spreading good practices – we give visibility to real examples of rural sustainability through our Resource centre.

Forum Synergies is funded by Fondation de France and Fondation Charles Leopold Mayer pour le Progrès de l’Homme.

Forum Synergies has co-initiated European networks of civil society organisations, like PREPARE (Partnership for Rural Europe) working in EU accession and neighbourhood countries, and ARC2020 (Agricultural and Rural Convention) which gathers a broad alliance of European stakeholders pressing for a genuine paradigm change in policies for agriculture and rural development.
