Building bridges between Europe and the Mediterranean

Objectives

The network aims at developing concrete responses to the challenges of active inclusion, development and peace in the Mediterranean region.

Our work is oriented towards:

– Improving the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in the economic, social, political and cultural fields with special attention paid to the establishment, support and strengthening women’s leadership in the Mediterranean Basin, including civil society organizations ;

– Creating a network of actors that may promote the sharing and transfer of knowledge, strategic skills and innovative good practices in the Euro-Mediterranean area;

– Initiating a process of co-development between countries on both shores of the Mediterranean, through a support to public and private stakeholders for better strategic planning considering gender approach;

– Education to the prospective approach to implement solutions and sustainable human development livable integrated policies on both sides of the Mediterranean.

Main Activities

Developing North-South / South-North cooperation projects in the field of women and community empowerment, development of local incubators to foster entrepreneurship and active inclusion of vulnerable people and groups. Main funds : EuropeAid, Erasmus +, COSME

Strengths

A wide, diversified network composed of public authorities, NGOs and foundations from the two shores of the Mediterranean basin.

An expertise in projects aiming at the active inclusion of vulnerable groups such as women, youngsters, displaced people and migrants.

Direct links to human, technical and logistical resources to foster entrepreneurship such as local incubators, management training staff, cultural mediators.
