We ask for a fixed public price for books which would regulate the price of books throughout France. According to some experiences abroad, there is evidence that liberalisation of this market has negative outcomes. By sticking to its neo-liberal dogma the European Union strives to impose the principles of free competition. This would be tragic for The Book in particular and for cultural diversity in general. Beyond, it seems important to us to think to set up a genuine « fixed european book price ».
