Description

Where do Europe’s international partnerships stand with regards to turning commitments to equality and sustainable development into concrete action? Are the EU’s policies capable of contributing to more equality in partner countries? What changes are needed?

CONCORD, the European confederation of NGOs working on sustainable development and international cooperation, is happy to invite you to join our first ever Equality Day, next 21st March 2023, 09:15 to 17:00, at the NH Hotel Brussels EU Berlaymont, Boulevard Charlemagne, 11-19, 1000 Brussels (Belgium).

Our event will discuss the state of play regarding the EU’s commitment to tackling inequalities through international partnerships. In particular, we will discuss what is needed to ensure that EU’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goals and initiatives such as Global Gateway can deliver for equality.

Ms Jutta Urpilainen, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, will open our event.
