We are a non-profit organization (AISBL) based in Brussels, working across Europe (and beyond). Our ambition is to empower individuals to be more than just passive consumers of media, but rather active, engaged citizens of Europe who fully benefit from it.

EAVI therefore focuses on a) Promoting full citizenship and media literacy and b) Engaging EU institutions raising awareness about and informing their activities. We are supported by the European Commission, and work closely with other international organisations such as the UN Alliance of Civilizations, the Council of Europe and UNESCO. Furthermore, many national research institutions, civil society organizations and ten of individual experts collaborate with us.
