EMF was created in 1996 as a reaction against the persistence of hostility in Europe towards minorities and immigrants.
This is a pan-European association bringing together organisations and individuals active in the fight against exclusion, discrimination and racism.
EMF is committed to promoting the positive aspects of multiculturalism and cultural diversity.
To promote the appreciation and pride in the multicultural nature of European identity;
– To defend the needs and concerns of minority ethnic communities and facilitate their active participation in public life and politics;
– To promote awareness and understanding of the creative potential of cultural diversity;
– To develop strategies to fight against racial tension and community, working with member organisations to develop appropriate techniques of teaching;
