IRSE (Regional Institute of European Studies of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region) is a non profit Cultural Organisation (Legal entity), promoting since 1972 active European citizenship, regularly organising a variety of courses, seminars and workshops in the following fields: European history and politics (45 courses), Economic culture, Science and Society (45 courses). The Institute also deals with international workshops for young European professionals and volunteers in cultural exchanges and sustainable tourism management (since 1986, 32 editions with a total of 680 participants from EU and eastern Europe countries). Moreover, linguistic and intercultural education, as well as exchanges of European young people and experiences abroad are widely promoted and organised by “ScopriEuropa” – IRSE Information Office.

The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has been supporting IRSE since 1972, for its dedication in promoting European values. The most recent IRSE project “European Culture for Sustainability and Inclusion” (triennium 2017/2019) has been particularly esteemed.
