The My!Europe project was initiated by the International Sonnenberg Association (ISA) and the Internationales Haus Sonnenberg (Sonnenberg-Kreis eV).

ISA organises Sonnenberg associations in 12 different countries and is based in Denmark.
The Internationales Haus Sonnenberg is a folk high school institution based in the Harz mountains in Germany.

The My!Europe project is structured as eight conferences on European democracy and the role of citizens in the European political process.
Conferences take place in Denmark, Latvia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Bulgaria and the Netherlands.

Three of these conferences are organized by cooperating partners: The Danish Cultural Institute for the Baltic states, in Riga, Latvia; the University of Pardubice in the Czech Republic, and the Bulgarian association of teachers of German.

Supported by a website, www.myeurope.today, the eight conferences in seven different countries will - in relay fashion - draft a common My!Europe Declaration and promote cross-border cooperation between NGOs, institutions and individuals, serving as a launch-pad for a new projects on democracy and European values.

The project runs from August 2015 to January 2017. It is supported by the Europe for Citizens program of the European Union.
