Association Greens LT (Susivienijimas Žali.LT) is young non governmental organization which aims to ensure the dissemination of enviromental ideas in Lithuania. Association is organizing initiatives (“Save the chestnuts” , “Community garden”), public actions (forest preservation, anti GMO topics), protests (antinuclear, anti-consumerism campaigns), flash mobs, round tables for enviromental NGOs. Also association is organizing different kind of seminars (on natural food, green economy, waste managemen topics) and workshops for the citizens (Christmas gifts preparing, books making and others), gives lessons at schools. Despite the fact that this organisation was established only several years ago, today it unites more than 90 persons from all parts of Lithuania. Association’s activities are based on voluntary work. All the activities are carried out with the support of the organization members. Last year association has implemented the first European project - local youth initiative “Community garden”, which was used to spread the idea of urban gardens and to use them in order to unite the communities. The association unites different kind of experts, enviromentalists, biologists, constructors of eco-buildings, non-formal and formal education lecturers, youth workers, specialists of public relations and others.

Finance and Main Partners
