As a recognized educational centre of the county Saxony-Anhalt, we are able to offer regional, national and international seminars, workshops and special events in the education sector.
Our aim is to strengthen today’s youth within our different workshops and seminars to help them become opne-minded, self-reflective and well-spoken young individuals. In all our seminars we support the youngsters’ own ideas and inputs, help them discuss topics of relevance and learn how to be self-effective.
By following these basic aims, we wish to help develop a more democratic, empathic and socially engaged young generation that is interested in social, political and economical matters and uses the partcipipatory tools to create a fresh future.
Our main focus is on active media work that is both process- and product-oriented. Our particular interest is the development of authentic results, particularly of public relations (Film / Photography) to provide young people and their statements with an efficient platform.
We dedicate ourselves more and more to the field of historical and political education. A combination of memorials and the work with contemporary witnesses, historical contexts are personalised and reviewed.
Another focus are our workshops on anti-violence training, which enable young adults to recognise violent situations early, to react to situations of conflict adequately and to practice non-violent behaviour on a day-to-day basis.
In addition to that, we offer trainings for capacity building of trainees in vocational education situations. Hereby we try to adapt our methods to their specific line of work and help them to realize their opportunities and chances.
The intensification of global learning, international meetings and supporting the personal development of young people by providing adequate information and preparing for operations abroad round off the range of content of our projects.

Target group for all our activities are adolescents and young adults aged between 12 and 27 years.
The basis for this work is the cooperation with experienced speakers and cultural workers, the continuous dialogue with experts, networking with colleges and universities, with institutions of vocational and professional qualification training, with memorials and institutions of political and cultural education, schools and establishments within Germany and other European countries.
The Education Network Magdeburg gGmbH has acquired the nationally recognized certificate as proof of competence in culture for culturally minded young people of the BKJ (Federal Unification for Cultural Youth Education).
In addition, we are location and host organisation for young volunteers in the area of the FSJ (voluntary social year) in culture as well as the European Voluntary Service. Within one year, two volunteers carry out a joint media project based on socio-cultural issues, which are announced by the European Union for every European Year. The volunteers are in charge of the concept, the execution and the presentation and find support in all relevant phases of the procedure.
