Your data will be used exclusively for the work of Citizens For Europe (CFEU). At CFEU we collect information about organizations ONLY and which you give to us by email and via the signup form on our Website.

We collect your data – personal or otherwise – for various reasons. It includes the following data:

  • your self indicated interest, according to the tags you provide us with in your profile;
  • the type of domain with which you connect to the Internet;
  • the IP address assigned to you;
  • the date and time of your access to our website;
  • the pages you viewed on our website;
  • the type of browser, platform and/or operating system you are using;
  • the search engine and the keywords used to find the website;
  • your browsing preferences.

WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA?

We collect your data mainly to send out our [Community Updates] and [Network Updates] (see also below), improve our service and, more generally, to easily communicate with each other. Finally, your data also allows us to improve and facilitate your navigation on our website.

This Website was built by and for civil society organizations, formal and informal, to share projects, positions, and news. The Website is not targeted at individuals. If your profile does not show any information related to the aims of CFEU, your profile will not be put online and information you entered will be deleted.

HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA?

Most of your data is communicated to us by your active intervention or signup to the Website.

Other data, such as the date and time of your access to our website, the pages you have viewed, or your location data, are collected automatically through servers consulted and “cookies” placed on our website.

ARE YOUR DATA PROTECTED?

CFEU stores data deliberately and exclusively on servers in France which are subject to French and European data protection regulations. The Website is hosted on a physical server at OVH.

We take pride in respecting the privacy of our users. We maintain a strict privacy policy and take all appropriate measures to ensure that our servers prevent, to the extent possible, any unauthorized leak, destruction, loss, disclosure, use, access or modification of your data.

HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?

We keep your data for the time necessary to accomplish the objectives pursued by your organization. If you choose to delete your account, all your data will be deleted accordingly.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS AND HOW CAN THEY BE EXERCISED?

You may contact CFEU at any time by email or letter to request to verify, access, rectify, delete, transfer and object to the use of your data, as well as request the limitation of such use of your data. You may unsubscribe from receiving emails from us at any time, using the unsubscribe function on emails or by emailing us at contact@citizensforeurope.eu. We will then make every effort to take the necessary action as soon as possible.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR DATA AND TO WHOM ARE THEY COMMUNICATED?

The Core Team of CFEU has access to it only to the extent necessary for processing your request and/or for fulfilling the objectives pursued. Each of them is subject to a strict obligation of confidentiality. In addition to the Core Team which has access to the content management system (CMS) runnnig behind this site, system administrators at the Charles Léopold Foundation pour le Progrès de l’Homme have access to the server for maintenance tasks.

DO WE TRANSFER YOUR DATA ABROAD?

We only transfer your data to a non-EU country if it provides a level of protection equivalent to what you can find in Europe. CFEU will not sell your information and guarantees not to disclose any of your personally identifiable information. We use industry-standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information.

HOW TO RECEIVE OUR INFORMATION?

We only use your email address to offer you information about funding resources, events, and proposals according to your own indicated interests, similar to those you have already indicated in your online profile or at events you participated in. By signing up, you agree to receive communication about events, positions, and proposals according to the tags you set for your organization during sign-up.

After signup, you are able to publish events, proposals, and positions, which will be pushed automatically to the community, using biweekly e-mail newsletter and Facebook/ Twitter.

In turn, you receive the biweekly e-mail newsletter called [Community Update] to the e-mail address you set up, according to the tags you set in your profile. On top of that you would receive regular [Network Updates] about funding, networking opportunities, or trainings.

With your consent and every update you make in your profile we will subscribe you to the respective newsletter in one or more of our 5 different categories: DEMOCRATIC EUROPE, SUSTAINABLE EUROPE, GLOBAL EUROPE, INNOVATIVE & CREATIVE EUROPE, and EFFICIENT & FAIR EUROPE. You can unsubscribe and withdraw your consent to these communications at any time by changing your profile on CFEU or sending an email to the following address: contact@citizensforeurope.eu

WHAT IS OUR POLICY ON DATA CONCERNING MINORS?

Our website are not targeted to children under the age of 13. If you learn that your minor child has provided us with their personal data without your consent, contact us at the following address: contact@citizensforeurope.eu.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF A CHANGE TO THE PRIVACY POLICY?

If we had to make any changes to this privacy policy, you would be notified through our website or email.
