GIMUN is a NGO fully managed by students, it has special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council at the United Nations. Throughout the year, we seek to promote UN values and to approach students to the political world, by organizing various educational events , including an annual conference, held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva every year, and this for 17 years.
Although the conference is one of the most important events of GIMUN due to its great success in all over the world. In fact, we welcome every year more than 300 students, and more than 100 of them comes from abroad. But, this is not the only event we organize. GIMUN offers many other activities , one of the most important is the study trip: a tradition that started in 2009. Each year, GIMUN offers the opportunity for 15 students, to travel for one or two weeks, for an educational and political purpose. In fact, this trip allows students to meet with politicians to discover new cultures and traditions, new perceptions , to understand the world with new eyes and approach the political world in a multidimensional way.
