Main Activities

Talking about the “Pain Patient Pathway Recommendations”, the starting point is the condition of patients affected of chronic pain that is very serious, as the patients’ associations from different European countries can testify. What is affirmed in theory is often denied in practice. This condition required the promotion of a strong patients-oriented policy against pain.

This is the reason why Patients (Pain Alliance Europe, PAE), Citizens (Active Citizenship Network, ACN) and Industry (Grünenthal GmbH, GRT) worked together in a multi-stakeholder project to become a strong European Pain Patient advocacy group by developing concrete proposals for the improvement of pain management; and to encourage active participation of citizens in European and national public policy-making and the cooperation among a lot of patient organizations, necessary to get heard by the policy makers.

Finance and Main Partners
