The Cultural Foundation "Routes of the Olive Tree" develops national and international projects around the theme of cultural patrimony, sustainable development , thematic tourism, gastronomy & agrifood products and intercultural dialogue.
It has been officially recognized by the UΝESCO as « International Cultural Itinerary» and the Council of Europe as « Great European Cultural Itinerary».
It also hosts the Europe Direct Information Center of Kalamata, where all citizens can have access to any information regarding the EU.
The “‘Olive Tree Routes”: Short and long cultural itineraries in Greece and abroad, framed with exhibitions, cultural meetings, contests, information days etc.
Club “Little Friends of the Olive Tree Routes”: Educational projects at schools and colleges, creative and cooking workshops, culinary courses, recipe contests etc.
Olive Tree Routes Art Gallery: Interesting editions around the theme of the olive tree, its symbolism, its importance and the nutritional value of its products

The Cultural Foundation “Routes of the Olive tree” has been recognised by the UNESCO and the Council of Europe. It has been placed under the auspices of the Mediterranean Olive Oil Producing Cities Network -RECOMED, the International Olive Oil Council, the Central Union of Greek Chambers, the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is supported by several actors in Greece and abroad.
