Founded in 1973, IRS is a private and independent research institute currently counting nearly 60 associates and it has become a leading research institute both at Italian and European level, thanks to a highly qualified internal research structure.

Objectives

IRS operates in partnership with other leading European research centres, prestigious universities and qualified experts and its research results and findings often contribute to political debate and support the implementation and operation of networks of scholars and policymakers.

IRS activities are organized in a transversal EU and International Affairs Unit and 6 research Areas:

1. Labour market and productive systems and policies

2. Administrative and institutional policies

3. Education/Training and labour policies

4. Social and health policies and services

5. Urban and territorial policies

6. Management models and complex system compliance

Thanks to its wide range of competences and expertise, developing multidisciplinary and integrated approaches, IRS is capable to meet all specific needs and requests of a wide target of public and private clients, at local, regional, national and European/international level.
