Objectives

The Jubel Conversation Festival is the very first European Democracy Festival. It is in the line of many others, which are flourishing throughout the old continent and beyond. Why so? By reason of both their format and goals.

Taking place in a rather informal setting, where culture intertwines with politics, policy-making and broader understandings of democracy, it arouses the interests of citizens into such usually heavy topics. And fun is definitely the best way to re-engage with disillusioned citizens, most notably our youngest ones! Using innovative tools and frameworks for citizens dialogues, it is the ideal place for open exchanges and mutual learning.

Finally, by putting the citizenry at the very heart of its conception, it also empowers them to participate to the shaping of our future Europe. In sum, the Jubel Festival is creative, innovative and resolutely bottom up. A democratic moment thus particularly welcome in the European Union.
