About us

The Development Agency of the Una-Sana Canton (DA USC) was established by the Decision of the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton, which was adopted at the 18th session of the Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton held on 19/01/2012 and by Decision on amendments to the Decision on the Establishment of the Public Institution Regional Development Agency of the Una-Sana Canton, which was adopted at the 21st session held on 28/03/2012.

The Government of USC and the Ministry of Economy of USC were aware of the fact that the USC, unlike other regions in BiH, had not so far established capacities of regional development, which causes effects on economic development of the area of the NW BiH. Therefore, the Government of USC and the Ministry of Economy of USC showed determination by adopting the Decision on Establishment of DA USC and gave a clear signal to all development stakeholders in the region, especially to the International Community and the Delegation of the European Union to BiH, which is a strategic partner and initiator of the process of regional development in the country.

DA USC was established in order to contribute to economic development of USC and northwest BiH, in accordance with the principles of sustainable development by creating conditions that will enable strengthening of competitiveness and achieving development potential in order to provide support to less developed areas and increase the optimal use of the development potential.
