Empowering the community: Results of CFEU call for structural support to organisations defending democracy

Last September, we published a call to bring structural support to CSOs active in the field of democracy, protection of rights and freedoms, citizen participation… to further their impact and development and enable them to strengthen their capacities and long-term strategies, very often challenged by the Covid-19 global crisis and subsequent restrictive measures taken by many governments.

We received over 40 applications and the Core Team of Citizens for Europe had a hard time selecting 12 of them :

BlueLink Foundation – Bulgaria
CIVICA – Romania
Das Progressive Zentrum – Germany
Don’t let Belgrade d(r)own – Serbia
eDemocracy Workshop Society – Hungary
Freiburger Wahlkreis 100% – Germany
Iuridicum Remedium – Czech Republic
NESEHNUTI Brno – Czech Republic
Post Bellum – Slovakia
Statewatch – UK
The Peace Institute – Slovenia
VoxPublic – France

We hope that our support will help them increase their impact and efforts countering shrinking civic space in Europe, and invite them to share their achievements and good practices with all of us at CFEU!

Share needs, joint trainings

Even though we were not able to support all organisations, we identified among the applications shared needs in communications, PR and fundraising, and decided to develop (together with experts) and propose joint trainings -as tailor-made as possible- that will benefit the majority of you.

More information will be available soon but if you have specific needs or ideas of online trainings that would be useful to the empowerment and growth of your organisation, do not hesitate to share them with us at contact@citizensforeurope.eu.
